MEPCO is looking for the services of a specialized Legal Director to serve as in- house official and handle all types of complex legal matters and projects of the Company. The mentioned official will ensure the effective control of Company's Legal Department and skillful handling of all the Corporate and Legal issues / cases of the Company.

Qualifications: Law Graduate (LL.B) from H.E.0 recognized university / institution. LL.M/Bar at Law or Higher qualifications would get preference. Specialization in Labour Laws / ADR would also get preference.
Experience: 15 years with at least 10 years High Courts practice as a lawyer / advocate. Supreme Court practice would also be preferable. The candidate must have legal practice experience / knowledge of Electricity, Regulatory & Corporate, Civil & Criminal, Commercial & Contact, Services & Labour Laws etc.
Consulting and handling all of Company's legal processes / issues.
Developing company policy and position on legal issues. Researching, anticipating and guarding company against legal risks.
Consult and handle all corporate, Electricity, Regulatory, Compliance, Services & Labour, Revenue, Commercial & Contract, PPRA & Procurement legal issues, lawsuits, coordination with panel lawyers etc.
Develop company policy and position on legal issues Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks Guide management & BoD and ensure compliance with rules and regulations Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents Represent company in legal proceedings (courts of law / tribunals / legal forums etc.) Draft and administer all contracts Negotiate, deals and attend company meetings (if required).
