Applications are invited from Pakistani individuals for the following vacant position for appointment purely on Contract Basis:

PhD in Agricultural Sciences with at least 12 years of Post PhD research/teaching experience At least 15 research publications in HEC recognized impact factor journals out of which at least 5 should be related to cotton research. Preference will be given to the candidate having qualification in Plant Breeding and Genetics with more than 10 years of practical experience in Cotton Breeding and having significant contribution in cotton research and development in terms of development cotton varieties as principal breeder covering significant area under cotton cultivation in Pakistan.
 
  1. Note:
    1. Foreign qualified candidates must attach Equivalence Certificate from Higher Education
      Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
    2. In case, degree has not been issued, a Certificate /Notification to that effect signed by the
      Controller of Examination (only) of degree awarding university might be accepted. In all cases, statement of experience must be supported by certificates from the employers
  2. How to apply:
    1. All candidates may apply online through IUB website e-portal. Iub.edu.pk.
    2. The candidates have also to submit 02 complete sets of applications for the said post bearing attested copies of degrees, certificates, one photograph for each set and one copy of the online challan (non-refundable) amounting of Rs. 5000/- for the said post till 01.02.2022 last date for submission of online applications, followed by submission of hard copy dully signed online application form along with attested copies of testimonials till 04.02.2022 at the mentioned below address:

      Abbasia Campus, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur
    3. Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel, by due date and submit service certificates issued by their present and former employers otherwise their applications will not be entertained.
    4. IUB employees willing to apply are directed to submit their hard copy of online application form along with all requisite documents by the due date, through proper channel.
    5. All other Government in-service applicants must apply through proper channel by due date and submit their service/experience/No Objection certificates issued by their current and former employers.
    6. Applicants are directed to clearly mention the Name of the Post applied for and Name on top right corner of the envelope.
  3. The University reserves the following rights:
    1. Not to fill/withdraw advertised post /withhold the appointment against the post, without
      assigning any reason thereof or consider a person for appointment in a lower cadre against the post advertised.
    2. To shortlist the candidates on the basis of academic qualifications and experience. Only
      short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
    3. This post will be filled subject to approval of the competent authority.
  4. Hard form of applications will only be received through registered mail/courier etc. By hand application will not be accepted. IUB employees willing to apply are directed to submit their application through proper channel.
  5. All others in service applicants will have to attach NOC and service certificate from their employer along with the application, advance copy of application will not be entertained.
