Anjuman Himayat-e-Islam was a group of schools for Muslim Girls of Indian sub-continent. It was established in 1884. After the partition, the schools are being run by Government of Pakistan and partially by the administration of Anjuman. Himayat-ul-Islam High School in Hyderabad, Sindh is one of Anjuman schools. Back then during British Raj the schools were initiated to promote English medium education among Muslim boys and girls. Over the years at both part of Indian subcontinent now called Pakistan and India, the schools are functional and have produced able graduates. After British Raj the schools converted into top class English medium schools and still the standards of education has not been ever compromised.

 It is working with same dedication and passion for education as it was working a century ago. The group of schools of Anjuman competed with highly ranked public and private schools of the time and managed to mark high positions in awards, prizes and overall academic results. Several prominent politicians, teachers, dignitaries, businessmen and military officers had been former alumni of the Anjuman schools. Prominent Pakistani-American politician Mr. M.J. Khan also happens be one of Anjuman schools alumni. Yateem Khana (an orphanage, established 1884) and Islamia College (Lahore) (established 1892) were established with endeavors of the Anjuman. It is still running a dozen schools and colleges in various major cities of Pakistan.
