UHS Accepting Applications for MBBS/BDS Programs in Private Colleges of Punjab

The University of Health Sciences Lahore has wrapped up its standard admission process for MBBS/BDS programs in private sector medical and dental colleges across Punjab for the session 2023-24. The Fifth Selection List for MBBS and Seventh Selection List for BDS were released on 14^th February and 28^th February 2024, respectively, adhering to the deadline set by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). UHS Private Sector MBBS/BDS Eligibility Criteria

Following the complete eligibility criteria of UHS MBBS/BDS admission in private sector medical and dental colleges of Punjab under the Punjab Government Vacant Seat Policy:

• If candidates applied through the University of Health Sciences online portal for admissions to private medical and dental colleges within the deadline but didn't submit their fees on time after being selected on merit, they can now apply for admission against available vacant seats.
• Candidates already admitted to public or private medical colleges can't apply for these vacant seats.
• Those admitted to private dental colleges can only apply for vacant seats in private medical colleges.
• Candidates on the waiting list who haven't been admitted anywhere can also apply for these UHS admission vacant seats. They can even change their college or seat preferences if they want.
• Admissions to these vacant seats will be based on a candidate's merit, their college preferences, and the available seats. Candidates will be admitted to colleges with closing merits matching those of the regular selection lists. They won't be admitted to colleges with higher cutoff merits or to colleges not on their preference list, even if they qualify.
• Admitting candidates to these vacant seats won't affect those who are already admitted elsewhere.

UHS Private Sector Application Procedure:

The complete procedure to apply for the UHS MBBS & BDS admission in private sector medical and dental colleges of Punjab is given below:

1. Candidates need to give their consent for admission to vacant seats using this link. They won't have to pay a new UHS admission application fee.
2. The link is only for existing applicants to private medical and dental colleges. New UHS MBBS/BDS admission applicants can't use it.
3. Candidates have to choose the colleges they prefer for the available seats. They can change their choices until the submission deadline, but after that, they can't make any more changes.
4. If a candidate doesn't choose new preferences for private colleges, their existing preferences will be considered final for admission.
5. Candidates can choose as many colleges as they want, but only the ones on their list will be considered for admission.
6. After the merit list is published, candidates who are selected must appear before an Admission Committee. They'll need to pay an UHS Lahore Admission Token Fee, which won't be more than Rs. 100,000, in the form of a bank draft or pay order made out to "UHS Lahore". This fee will be given to the assigned college later. Candidates must pay the remaining fees and confirm their enrollment at the colleges by the deadline.
7. Once admitted to vacant seats, candidates must pay the required college fee and join the colleges by the specified deadline. If they don't, their admission will be canceled, and they'll lose the Admission Token Fee too.
