Lahore: The four-day IEEE COMSOC Summer School Programme 2016 arranged by Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS), UET in association along with the IEEE UET Lahore, IEEE COMSOC Lahore Section and IEEE Punjab University ended on Sunday.

Frist two days of this programme were organized at University of the Punjab whereas the KICS-UET organized the remaining programme. COMSOC Summer School was mainly planned for the fresh graduates as well as for the aspirants doing MS/PhD in the fields of Information Technology and Communication.
The aspirants from LUMS, GCU, UET, FAST, PU, NUST, COMSATS as well as from other universities attended this programme. Almost 12 various technical talks were delivered by the professionals whereas the officials of Netsol and Huawei also gave talks on the present industry trends as well as practices.

A 6-member delegation of the US State Department was invited to speak on the entrepreneurship on the second day of the Summer School. A poster competition was also organized in which the partakers of the summer school presented their projects in front of US delegation.
The vice chancellor of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid and the Director KICS Dr Waqar Mehmood were present. Prof Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Vice Chancellor of Virtual University Dr Naveed A Malik as well as other faculty members and speakers attended the closing ceremony of this programme.
