The University of Health Sciences promised to release this year’s MDCAT result within 7 days of the test! Overview of MDCAT 2024 Test in Punjab

The MDCAT 2024 in Punjab was conducted by UHS under the supervision of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). This year, a total of 58,379 candidates took the test across Punjab, including 40,363 female and 18,016 male candidates. The MDCAT 2024 test took place at 26 centers in 12 major cities across Punjab, with a significant number of participants coming only from Lahore. In Punjab, 16 public sector medical colleges offer 3,376 MBBS seats, while three public dental colleges provide 240 BDS seats. These seats will be allocated based on the MDCAT 2024 result merit.

In Lahore alone, the exam was held at multiple prominent locations, including COMSATS University on Defense Road, Punjab University’s Exam Hall on Wahdat Road, and Government Graduate College for Women in Gulberg, among others. A total of 16,390 candidates appeared from Lahore, including 11,735 female and 4,655 male candidates.

UHS MDCAT Passing Marks 2024

All medical and dental candidates are required to score or achieve at least 55% marks for MBBS and minimum 50% marks for BDS program. The UHS merit shall be decided according to the rules and regulations of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and shall be totally based on the MDCAT aggregate formula of the candidates achieved marks in MDCAT test and previous qualifications according to the following ratio:

Matriculation (SSC or Equivalent): 10%
HSSC/ FSc (Premedical or Equivalent): 40%
MDCAT/ Entrance Test: 50%
