Karachi: According to the issued press release on Tuesday, Sindh education minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar took the ‘serious’ notice of 14 higher secondary schools that obtained 0% in results for inter in arts.
The decision after a day of announcement of intermediate arts group annual exams result 2016 on Monday in which the overall passing percentage remained at 40%.
Dahar ordered the education secretary Fazlullah Pechuho and colleges director general Syed Nasir Ansar to take a strict action against the heads of the educational institutes that have been failed to give good results.

It was quite shocking to know that in spite of provision of massive resources and teaching staff by the department, the colleges were not able to give good results in the exams, said Dahar, instructing the relevant officers to certify the attendance of aspirants as well as quality of teaching.
In the meantime, BIEK controller of examinations Imran Khan Chishti told the media sources that they will be preparing a list of colleges that have been ominously performing poorly in the exams since the last 3 years.
“We will prepare the list till the end of November and will take the strict action against the colleges,” he added.

Almost 14 institutes are higher secondary schools with low enrolment, informed Ansar.
“Mostly institutes have 4 to 5 arts students and if they fail to pass the results of the college are automatically declared 0,” he explained.
