Lahore: To maintain the quality as well as the standard of education, the Government College University (GCU) has reportedly decided not to affiliate any more colleges.
As per the sources, 10 private educational institutes have been affiliated along with government College University. But, after receiving few complaints regarding the standard and quality of education at these institutes, the GCU management has decided not to affiliate colleges anymore.
These colleges were offering degrees in undergraduate and graduate programs against fee of Rs 500,000 and 400,000 respectively.

At the same time, the inaugural function as well as oath-taking ceremony of newly elected executive committee of the Old Ravian Union was organized on Tuesday at the GCU Bukhari Auditorium.

The judge of Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony. Old Ravian Union President Qazi Afaq Hussain, Vice Chancellor Hassan Ameer Shah was also present there.
