New School Timings Announced for Winter

As part of the new school timing 2025, schools in Punjab will start later in the day. From Monday to Thursday, schools will now begin at 08:45 AM and close by 02:45 PM, giving students and teachers extra time in the morning during the cold months. Fridays will have a slightly different schedule, with schools closing earlier at 12:45 PM, allowing students and staff to have ample time to prepare for Jummah prayer. This winter revised school timings will remain in place until 31^st March 2025.

New Timing Schedule for Teachers

While students benefit from shorter school hours in winter season, teachers will be required to follow a different timing schedule. According to the notification released by the School Education Department, teachers are expected to arrive at 8:30 AM and remain until 3:00 PM on regular weekdays. In addition, teachers will need to report to school on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to ensure that school operations continue smoothly, despite students having the weekend off.
