Islamabad: On Tuesday, a 2-day International moot on ‘ Judicial System in Muslim States’ started at International Islamic University Islamabad at its Faisal Masjid Campus.
The conference has been arranged along with an objective to look over the judicial system of Muslim countries.

The opening ceremony of the International moot was attended by the Chief Justices of the Shariat courts of Pakistan as well as Jordan, whereas the legal experts along with the officials of Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Egypt as well as Syria are also taking part in the conference.
While speaking on the event, the Chief Justice Shariat Court of Pakistan, Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan said that judges as well as the legal community should be aware of advanced technological changes.

He added that “we have to change with the passage of time. The difference of theory and the practice should be removed”.
Earlier addressing the partakers, the Chief Justice of Shariat Court Jordan, Dr Abdul Karim Al Khsawanah said the provision of justice as well as the research in law department should be the top priority in the Muslim world.
