Recently the HEC has officially announced the Law GAT Test 2024. Aspiring law graduates are invited to apply online for their Law GAT 2024 from this page. The deadline for submitting your HEC Law GAT Test 2024 application is approaching, and we advise you to apply as soon as possible. Applying early will give you enough time to resolve any possible issues that may arise, which may not be possible in the last days. HEC Law GAT Eligibility:
- Candidates who have cleared their Bachelor's degree in Law or its equivalent from an HEC/ PBC recognized university or institute are eligible to apply for the HEC Law GAT.
- Students who are waiting for their final results of LLB Degree or equivalent cannot apply.
- Candidates also have submit some necessary documents while applying such as, CNIC number, currently active phone number and email, address, scanned copy of your Law degree and paid receipt of Law GAT application processing fee etc.
Law GAT Syllabus & Marks:
The HEC Law GAT test will consist solely of multiple-choice questions, in accordance with the curriculum set by HEC and PBC. The Law GAT Test 2024 will be scored out of 100 marks, with candidates required to achieve a minimum of 50% to pass. Successful completion of the Law GAT Test is necessary for individuals to practice as advocates or lawyers. Test Date of HEC Law GAT 2024:
While announcing the commencement of Law GAT Test 2024 applications, HEC also disclosed the tentative Law GAT 2024 test date, which is 31st March 2024. In the event of any changes to the test date, registered students will receive notifications through the ETC HEC portal, along with mobile SMS and email alerts. The HEC Law GAT Test 2024 will take place in major cities across Pakistan. Candidates can select their preferred examination hall from the provided Centre list in the application form. A minimum of 250 candidates must choose the same exam center for the exam to be conducted there. The cities where HEC will conduct the LAW GAT Test 2024 include:

How to Apply for Law GAT 2024:
We have provided the comprehensive Law GAT application process in the following, students have to follow it to successfully apply for the Law GAT:
- First of all, create an account on the HEC ETC portal to begin your online Law GAT registration.
- Enter your name, CNIC number, phone number and email etc. to create an account on that online Law GAT portal.
- After finishing your HEC ETC portal profile, press the "Law GAT Test 2024" button from the left hand side menu panel of the online portal.
- Incomplete applications or applications in save mode will not be entertained. Only applications submitted under the deadline (12th March 2024) will be considered.
- After filling out the Law GAT application, generate an online bank fee challan.
- Pay the Law GAT Test Fee of Rs. 3000/- at banks supporting the 1Link 1Bill Invoice service.
- Alternatively, students can submit their HEC Law GAT Fee through online banking options, Easypaisa, Jazzcash, and Upaisa using the 1Link 1Bill Invoice service.
- Candidates must also upload a scanned copy of their paid challan receipt to their portal.
- Please note that the test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
- Finally, click the “Submit” button to successfully submit your LAW GAT Test application.
Important Guidelines Regarding Law GAT 2024:
- The last date to submit the LAW GAT test application is 12th March 2024 till 4:00 PM.
- The tentative LAW GAT 2024 date is 31st March 2024.
- If there are any changes to the test date, HEC will inform candidates through portal notifications, SMS, and emails.
- Download your HEC LAW GAT Roll Number Slip from the HEC ETC online portal and your registered email address one week before the test date.
- Make sure to provide your current email and mobile number to receive roll number slips and test updates.
- On the test day, bring your printed LAW GAT Roll Number Slip, original paid Fee Challan, and original CNIC to enter the Test Centre.
- To pass the Law GAT, you need to score at least 50%. Also, candidates must adhere to the Rules and Regulations of the Pakistan Bar Council. They have a maximum of seven chances to clear the test, which is conducted quarterly by the HEC.
