Lahore: Higher Education Commission, Pakistan is offering 5000 Indigenous Fellowships. The comiision is awarding these scholarships to the brilliant Pakistani/AJK residents to complete PhD from Pakistani HEC recognized Universities/ Degree Awarding institutions.

These fellowships are available for MS/MPhil or PhD programs.

Scholarship Grant:
Financial Support under Ph.D. Fellowship for 5000 Scholars PHASE-I (Batch-IV) cademic session 2016-17.
Scholar Payment
Scholar’s stipend
1. Rs. 10,000 monthly in MS/MPhil
2. Rs. 13,000 per month in PhD
Support to University for tuition fee, reference books, back volumes, chemical abstracts, stationery, software, internet etc.
1. Rs.75, 000/ per year
Support to University for laboratory/workshop equipment, lab material, consumables and supplies etc.

Eligibility Criteria:
The following criteria must be met in order for candidates to be eligible for scholarship:
1. Pakistani/AJK National
2. For MS/MPhil, the candidates must have minimum 16 years of education without any 3rd division or Grade D in degree/certificate in the whole academic career.
3. The applicants applying for direct PhD scholarships must have minimum CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or first division (in the annual system) in MS/MPhil/Equivalent degree is needed together with the condition mentioned above in clause (2).
4. Maximum age at the closing date of application i.e. December 15, 2015: i. 40 years for full-time regular faculty members of government sector university/DAIs and regular employee of the government sector/R&D organizations
(35 years for all others).
5. The candidates who are already availing any other HEC/Government scholarship are not eligible to apply for this fellowship.
