CSC Scholarship 2024 Coverage

Following are the expenses which will be covered by this CSC Chinese government scholarship 2024:

• Tuition Funds: The host university uses these funds for education, admin costs, health insurance, and student activities.

• Accommodation: Free dormitory or subsidy for living expenses provided to each scholarship recipient.

• Stipend: The following are the monthly stipend costs which will be provided to each student under China Govt. Scholarship Program:

• Undergraduates: Minimum CNY 2,500/month

• Masters students: Minimum CNY 3,000/month

• PhD students: Minimum CNY 3,500/month

• Travel Expenditure: Scholarship winners are responsible for their travel costs; HEC bears no financial responsibility.

CSC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Applying candidate must be a Pakistani/ AJ&K national, dual nationality holders are ineligible to apply.
• Applicants should be in good health proved by a Physical Examination Record.
• Incomplete degree holders at the application deadline cannot apply.
• For Undergraduate/Bachelors: Need intermediate/ A-level/ FA-FSC (12 years) education with age less than 25.
• For Masters: Require a Bachelor’s degree (16 years); age limit under 35.
• For PhD/Doctoral: Need a Master’s degree MS/MPhil (17/18 years); age limit under 40.
• Applicants currently accepted in any other scholarships cannot apply.
• HAT or USAT test score mandatory, minimum score of 50 out of 100 required.
• Test score taken after January 01, 2023, can be uploaded for consideration.
• Applications without a minimum HAT or USAT score (50 out of 100) won't be processed.

Required Documents for CSC Scholarship

No need to send any documents (hard copies) to HEC initially. Only shortlisted candidates should submit the following documents in English or Chinese language:

• Submit a signed application form of HEC in a separate spiral binding. No other documents should be attached.
• Provide a signed application form of CSC application portal with the necessary documents.
• Attested copies of educational documents, CNIC/B-form, Domicile, IBCC equivalency certificate, and HEC equivalency if applicable.
• Write a Study Plan or Research Proposal in Chinese or English (200 words for undergraduates, 500 for non-degree students, 800 for postgraduates).
• Submit language proficiency certificate or IELTS/ TOEFL/ HSK score to exempt from the one year Chinese language course.
• A copy of a valid ordinary passport (valid till march 2025)
• Provide a photocopy of the Physical Examination Record in English and keep the original. It must cover all items listed in the Physical Examination Record, including basic blood test reports.
• Provide a non-criminal Record (Police Clearance Certificate) not older than six months.
• If available, apply to target universities for a pre-admission letter for Masters and PhD before the online application. It enhances chances for Chinese Government Scholarships.
• For graduate programs, submit two recommendation letters in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.

CSC Scholarship 2024 Application Process

To successfully submit your Chinese Government Scholarship application, follow these below given steps:

• Apply online at HEC scholarship portal. After registering and filling your profile, please select "Learning Opportunities Abroad".
• Before applying, kindly update your HEC profile with latest email/cell number & updated information.
• After submission of the application, get its printed copy to be signed by the applicant.
• You are advised to complete and submit your application as soon as possible, as the online application system will be very busy in the days leading up to the application deadline.
• Also submit an online application at CSC web portal at http://www.campuschina.org/ or https://www.csc.edu.cn/ through program Type: A and Agency No.5861.
• Download the submitted copy of complete application form from Chinese Scholarship Council portal, print & retain a signed copy with yourself.
• Submission of online applications at both CSC & HEC portal are mandatory. In case of non-submission of form on any of the above two portals, candidature will not be considered.

Important Instructions:

• Submit your applications on both CSC & HEC portals by the deadline, December 28, 2023.
• Ensure your email, phone number, and address are accurate in the application. These details are crucial for communication during the process. Not responding promptly may result in rejection.
• Providing false information could lead to cancellation of the application and future scholarship opportunities. HEC may impose penalties as well.
• Do NOT send any hard copies of forms or documents to HEC at this application stage.
• Select Category A (agency No. 5861) to submit the online application on the China Scholarship Council's portal.
• Incomplete or unsaved applications on the HEC and CSC portals will not be considered.
