Study Fields of Chinese Government Scholarship
The nominated Chinese Universities participating in this Chinese Government Scholarship 2024-2025, allowing Pakistani students to apply for various academic disciplines. These disciplines includes Agriculture, Medicine, Science, Engineering, Legal Studies, Economics, Management, Education, History, Literature, Philosophy, and Fine Arts etc. This Chinese Government Scholarship Program provides deserving Pakistan students to study and carryout research under the administration of experienced teachers in China.
Financial Coverage of Chinese Government Scholarship
Following are the expenses which Chinese government scholarship 2024 will cover for Pakistani students:
- ·Tuition Funds: The host university in China will use these funds. The university can uses these provided funds for education, admin costs, health insurance, and student activities.
- Accommodation: Free hall of residence or accommodation will be provided to each scholarship applicant.

Stipend: The following monthly stipend costs which will be provided to each student selected for China Govt. Scholarship Program:
- Undergraduates: Minimum CNY 2,500 per month (minimum)
- Masters students: Minimum CNY 3,000 per month (minimum)
- PhD students: Minimum CNY 3,500 per month (minimum)
- Travel Expenditure: Scholarship winners will bear their travel costs; HEC will provide any financial aid for travelling
Required Documents
Provide a signed CSC scholarship application form with the following necessary documents:
- Attested copies of educational documents, CNIC/B-form, Domicile, IBCC equivalency certificate, and HEC equivalency if applicable.
- Write a Study Plan or Research Proposal (200 words for undergraduates, 500 for non-degree students, 800 for postgraduates) in Chinese or English.
- Submit language proficiency certificate or IELTS/TOEFL/HSK score to exempt from the one-year Chinese language course.
- A copy of a valid passport (must be valid till March 2025).
- Provide a photocopy of the Physical Examination Record in English, keep the original, covering all listed items including basic blood test reports.
- Provide a non-criminal Record (Police Clearance Certificate) not older than six months.
- Apply to target universities for a pre-admission letter for Masters and PhD before the online application (for Chinese Government Scholarships).
- For graduate programs, submitting two recommendation letters in Chinese or English language from professors or associate professors is necessary.
Chinese Government Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Pakistani or AJ&K nationals can apply, but dual nationality holders cannot.
- Applicants must provide a Physical Examination Record confirming good health.
- Incomplete degree holders by the application deadline won't be considered.
- For Undergraduate/ Bachelors: Need intermediate/A-level/FA-FSC (12 years) education and must be under 25.
- For Masters: Require a Bachelor’s degree (16 years) and must be under 35.
- For PhD/ Doctoral: Need a Master’s degree MS/MPhil (17/18 years) and must be under 40.
- Applicants with ongoing Chinese scholarships cannot apply.
- HAT or USAT test score is mandatory, with a minimum score of 50 out of 100.
- Only test scores taken after 1st January 2023, will be accepted.
- Applications without a minimum HAT or USAT score (50 out of 100) won't be considered.
Application Process for CSC 2024 Scholarship
To successfully submit your Chinese Government Scholarship online application, follow these below given steps:
- Apply online through the HEC scholarship portal under "Learning Opportunities Abroad”
- Update your HEC profile with the latest contact details before applying.
- Print a signed copy of the submitted application from HEC.
- Apply early as the system might get congested near the deadline.
- Submit an online application at CSC web portal using Program Type A and Agency No. 5861.
- Download the submitted application form from the Chinese Scholarship Council's portal, print, and keep a signed copy.
Important Instructions:
- Submit applications on both CSC & HEC portals by the deadline of December 28, 2023.
- Ensure accurate contact information for prompt communication during the process.
- Providing false information may lead to rejection and penalties from HEC.
- Avoid sending hard copies of documents to HEC at this stage.
- Choose Category A (Agency No. 5861) when submitting the online application on CSC portal.
- Incomplete or unsaved applications on HEC and CSC portals won't be considered.
