Lahore, A student of Bahauddin Zakariya University of Multan, Jazal Sher got top position and won gold medal in ‘All Pakistan Gold Medal Urdu Extempore Speech Competition’ which was conducted by Students’ Council of Sir Syed Government Girls College. The council achieves its aim by conducting an “All Pakistan Gold Medal Urdu Debate” on March 8, 2014. Top debaters across the country took part in the event and made it successful. In first round 15 teams of different provinces took part and reached in final round.
The jury members were Mr. Rizwan Zaidi, Mr. Abid Ali Omang and Mrs. Shumaila Samad.
The first position taken in first round by Nadim-ur-Rashid (Jamiat-ur-Rashidiya), second potion went to Muhammad Habib Ferozi (Karachi University), third position went to Ahsan Wasim (Pakistan Institute of Quality) and fourth place was taken by Wajahat Hussain (Agha Khan College) while the team trophy was awarded to M. Khizer Khan & M. Mazhar Khan (Cadet College Sanghar).
In Final round of “All Pakistan Gold Medal Urdu Extempore Speech Competition”, around 10 students took part and were Mr. Haroon-ur-Rasheed, Mr. Khalilullah Farooqi & Mr. Saleem Mughal. In this stage finally one contestant Mr. Jazal Sher student of “Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan” won Gold Medal.
Principal of Sir Syed Government Girls College Farhat Azeem acknowledged the President Students’ Council, Aiman Batool Jafri and her team for arranging such significant speech contest. Later on, she presented certificates and prizes to participants of the event.
