The Balochistan Board of intermediate and secondary education has announced to hold SSC and HSSC exams for elective subjects only. In this regard, the notification has been issued by the board authorities. The interprovincial ministers conference was held earlier in which education ministers of all the provinces participated to decide about the reopening of educational institutes and commencement of annual exams 2021. In the meeting, it had been decided that the students of matric and intermediate will appear in the elective subjects.
SSC and HSSC Exams
The federal minister for education and professional training has announced that decision regarding the conduction of the exams. According to the announcement made by Shafqat Mahmood the candidates of matric have to appear in the exams of elective subjects and mathematics however, the students of intermediate will appear in the exams of elective subjects according to their study group. It is pertinent to mention here that the students will not take the exams of the compulsory subjects that include English, Urdu, Islamiat, and Pakistan studies. The marks of these subjects will be awarded to the students based on their performance in the exams of elective subjects.
Improvement Exams
The board authorities have clarified that the fresh candidates will appear in elective subject’s exams however the candidates that want to improve the marks or failed in any other subject are required to take exams of elective subjects alongside the compulsory subjects. The exams of the candidates belonging to these categories will be commenced according to the new date sheet issued by the Balochistan board of intermediate and secondary education.
