Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Gender & Women Studies Department, will organize courses workshops for the aspirants of PGD/M.Sc Gender and Women Studies programme for the Semester Spring, academic year 2015.
The workshop for the aspirants of 4th Semester will begin from September 7 and it will be continued till 13th September 2015. The courses of 4th Semester consists of; 874-Women and Media, 877-Women and Health, 878-Women and Environment as well as 880-Perspectives of Women Rights in Islam. However, the timing of the workshop will be 9:00 am to onwards daily.
Likewise, the workshop for the aspirants of 2nd Semester will start from 14th September 2015 as well as it will be continued till 20th September 2015. The courses of 2nd Semester includes: 4645-Research Methods in Gender Studies, 4646-Applied Statistics in Gender, 4647-Feminist Debates on Gender Inequalities, 4648-Femisism and Islam, 4682-Sociological Theory-I and 4685-Sociology of Gender Issues.
The aspirants of Allama Iqbal open university from Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, DG Khan, Faisalabad, Multan and Muzaffarabad areas will attend their workshops at their areas via Video-Conferencing system whereas the aspirants from other areas will attend their workshop at the WM Zaki Auditorium of the University at Sector H-8, Islamabad and this statement was given by Dr. Riffat Haque, Chairperson, Department of Gender and Women Studies.
