University of Education Township Lahore

The University of Education is a public-sector, research oriented university situated in Lahore. The university was founded in 2002, and since then it has been offering a variety of academic programs from undergraduate to PhD level to a significant number of students. Around 13,000 students are enrolled in the different disciplines of the university. The university is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and is chartered by the Government of Punjab. 

The University consists of several campuses around Punjab, including Lower Mall Campus, Attock Campus, Bank Road Campus, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan Campus, Faisalabad Campus, Jauharabad Campus, Vehari Campus, and Multan Campus. The University of Education has a main goal to encourage and empower its students to pursue higher education at an international level. It is dedicated to providing students with several leadership qualities that will not just help them grow personally but to outshine themselves professionally leading to a successful career ahead of them.

Admission requirements: 

The University of Education grants admissions solely on a merit basis. The candidates are required to meet the admission requirements in order to get admission. The admission requirements of different departments and majors vary. However, the basic admission requirements of every discipline is mentioned below.

Undergraduate Degree Programs:

• The admission requirements for undergraduate programs include an intermediate or equivalent degree with a minimum grade of 50%.

Graduate Degree Programs:

• The admission requirements for the graduate degree programs include 16 years of education with a minimum grade point of 2.5. The university conducts an entry test as a compulsory admission requirement.

PHD Programs:

• MS/M.Phil. or equivalent degree program in the relevant field. A candidate must possess a minimum grade point of 3.0. Candidates must appear for the entry test conducted by the University of Education. 

• Interview by the concerned department.

Scholarships:

The University of Education offers several scholarships to facilitate a number of students. The university offers different merit-based and need based scholarships. The university has allocated a total of 22.0 million for scholarships. Some of the scholarships offered at the University of Education are mentioned below.

Research Facility:

The directorate at the University of Education puts great emphasis on research and development through the Office of Research and Innovation Center. The office is responsible for developing, improving, and upholding high standards of education by offering research platforms. The office will play a key role in strengthening ties between academia and industry to create joint ventures.

Currently, the University of Education has enrolled more than 13,000 students out of which around 150 students are seeking doctoral degrees and 150 students are enrolled in postgraduate degree programs and rest students are achieving undergraduate degrees.
