The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan was setup under The Chartered Accountants Ordinance, 1961 as a self-regulatory body and it works under the CA Bye Laws 1983. ICAP is the prisoner institution as an examining body for all the candidates who want to get admission in Chartered Accountants.
ICAP is also working to promote corporate governance, made economic policies of Federal and Provincial Governments including federal budget by focusing on taxation. ICAP is also a prominent participant of professional activities and development at international level.
