The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has launched the Education Scheme 2025 to strengthen the quality and responsiveness of the Chartered Accountancy profession. The new scheme endorses being update per international practices so that the students are educated and trained at a competitive global level. It follows a structured approach guiding students through different levels of the CA qualification. The admission is open and the interested candidates can start their path towards becoming Chartered Accountants. This new scheme adopts a competency based learning program that integrates theoretical training with practical experience.
Admission Process
ICAP provides various entry routes, depending upon the educational background of the candidates. The two main routes being the Full Time Route Scheme and the Trainee Route Scheme. Students can apply either through registration on the ICAP official website or personally visit the regional office for guidance, submission of marked documents, proof of identity, and other necessary certificates will be needed for admission. After registration, the students can follow the pathway along with the CA program towards achieving it through the various stages of Pre-Requisite Competencies (PRC), Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF), and Certified Finance and Accounting Professional (CFAP). Each qualification has a mix of formal lessons and training so that students are well fit for the financial challenges of the real world.
Eligibility & Criteria
The eligibility criteria are varied to include students from all of the educational backgrounds. Candidates who have completed HSSC with 50% marks or more, as well as graduates with a minimum of 45% marks, can apply. The Education Scheme 2025 includes practical training after each level to connect theory with real life application.
