Skill Development Council Karachi

In 1995 the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training established the Skill Development Council Karachi (SDC Karachi). It functions as an autonomous body under National Training Ordinance-1980 as amended by the Ordinance-2002. The councils primarily conduct demand driven, industry specific training programs to enhance the skills and employability of people. In partnership with top tier institutions, SDC Karachi provides contemporary certifications & consultancy services designed to meet the ever evolving needs of the job market. The council has trained over 100,000 individuals in the last few years, enabling them to grow professionally and progress in their careers.

Academic Programs Offered

SDC Karachi provides numerous programs in different sectors. These are business development, operations, human resources, information technology, and civil, electrical and mechanical skills. Graphic Designing with Freelancing, Social Media Marketing Search Engine Optimization, E-Commerce with Daraz and IT specific programs like advance web development & computerized accounting are among some programs the council offers. MS Office, Revit, and Stenography are a few such courses that the council offers, all of which help individuals upskill and make themselves more applicable to the corporate offering as well as career opportunities when they enter the job field.
