Admission Process

SMIU conducts the admission process fully online. Through a valid email address and CNIC number, applicants first need to register on the admission portal. Candidates have to fill the application form with personal details, academic qualifications and upload (document required) after login to the course:

• Paid fee challan
• CNIC
• Mark sheets of SSC and HSC for undergraduates applicants
• Undergraduate transcripts for graduate applicants
• Graduate transcripts for Postgraduate applicants

Once the application is submitted, applicants can download their admit card, prospectus, and sample test papers on the portal. A test is to be held on Dec 6–7, 2024, and interviews are set for Dec 12–13, 2024. Following this, merit lists will be issued after which the fee will be introduced according to the merit list. Eligibility and Criteria

Each program level and field of study has its own eligibility criteria. Undergraduate programs candidates should have successfully finished their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent qualification with a minimum percentage for different programs. So, programs such as BS Computer Science and BS Software Engineering require you to have 50% in intermediate with science subjects. Minimum 16 years education in relevant field, with a minimum required CGPA of 2.5 or 50% marks. Candidates who are applying for MS programs should also qualify the NTS GAT-General test with at least 50% marks.
