Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College, Lyari, Karachi (SMBBMC) is a public sector medical college. Formed in 2011 and named after the late Benazir Bhutto to celebrate her legacy of service to Pakistan. The College teaches aspiring doctors quality medical care while serving the working class and underprivileged. It works from Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) and is an institute which is recognized by PMDC (Pakistan Medical and Dental Council).

SMBBMC is a medical college that provides a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with a duration of five years. The curriculum is labourious and goes hand in hand with global health education. The students learn the theoretical parts of the courses being offered along with having practicals in different hospitals as clinicals. Teaches Medicine, Dentistry, nursing and other health related disciplines. the attached Lyari General hospital is a teaching hospital. It has all the mortuary equipment, lecture rooms, and is stocked with useful medical books in the library.
