Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants Karachi

Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) was founded in 1993 to support the creation of a second tier of accounting professionals in Pakistan and is an internationally recognized professional accounting body. PIPFA is mainly two co-sponsored bodies, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), and the Auditor General of Pakistan. This demonstrates its commitment to international standards, as the institute is a full member of the (IFAC) International Federation of Accountants. PIPFA is serving the nation for the development of accounting professionals in the public sector to manage public sector finances.

Programs Offered

PIPFA offers a four-level qualification program. Level one contains basic subjects: Quantitative Methods, Basic Accounting, Business English & Behavioral Studies. Learners continue to explore concepts in Business Economics, Business Laws, and Cost Accounting at level two. Advanced topics like Final Accounting and Taxation are taught at level three. The fourth final program is taught Public Sector Financial Management, Government Accounting, and Auditing. Such exhaustive training should equip a learner to deal adequately with public finance and accounting, providing them knowledge sufficiently to carry on with lucrative careers.

PIPFA has many facilities for the students and members. To stay updated with the latest developments in the field of public finance and accounting, the institute organizes seminars, workshops, and CPD programs from time to time. Another speciality of PIPFA is the collaboration with national Universities like Muhammad Ali Jinnah University and Hamdard University for joint seminars, workshops and career counseling programs that help create such major opportunities for students to learn further.
