Eligibility Criteria for PIEAS

Candidates seeking to get admission at PIEAS must meet the following PIEAS admission requirements: 

Undergraduate Programs

• Students need to have scored at least 50% to 60% marks in your HSSC/ inter. Some undergraduate programs may require only 45% marks in HSSC.
• If a student has foreign qualifications, he needs a certificate that shows they're equal to at least 50% to 60% in the HSC. You can get this certificate from the Intermediate Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
• Or if you've passed a diploma in relevant subjects or practice with at least 50% marks, you can also apply. 

Master’s Programs

• To get into the MS program, you need to have completed 16 years of education with a bachelor's in a related field. Your degree should be in the second division, with at least 2.5 CGPA or an equivalent percentage from a recognized university or institution. If your degree mentions both division and CGPA, you must meet one of these requirements.
• The required number of credit hours for your degree will follow the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission.

PhD Programs

• You'll need at least 36 credit hours in your previous MS degree, with 24 credit hours from coursework only.
• Your CGPA should be at least 3.0 out of 4.
• You'll have to take either the NTS GAT (Subject) and score a minimum of 60% marks or the GRE subject test by ETS and get at least a 60th percentile score.
• The number of credit hours required for the degree will follow the rules set by the Higher Education Commission.

Required Documents for PIEAS Admissions

At the time of admission, you need to submit a few important documents stated below:

• Mark sheets or certificates of all your previous qualifications.
• If you've graduated from a different education system before, you'll need to submit an Equivalence Certificate from the IBCC.
• Four passport sized photos.
• If you're waiting for your exam results, provide the roll number slip of your last exam.
• Scanned Copies of your CNIC Card or Form B.
• Also, a photocopy of your Father's National Identity Card is required.

PIEAS Islamabad Application Process

To complete your online PIEAS application process for the year 2024, you are required to carefully follow the steps given below:

• Registration on the PIEAS admission portal requires the submission of personal information including CNIC number, address, mobile number, and email.
• Completion of the PIEAS admission application must be done online via the PIEAS student portal. This involves the selection of the desired program and furnishing of essential details.
• All requested documents need to be scanned and uploaded onto the portal.
• After the completion of the application, candidates are required to generate an application processing fee Chillán.
• A non-refundable fee of Rs. 3,500 must be submitted at any branch of Askari Bank. This processing fee is just for bachelors programs.
• The application processing fee of other study-level may vary.
• Alternatively, students have the option to remit the application processing fee via a bank draft payable to the university.
• The receipt of the paid fee challan needs to be uploaded to the student portal.
• It should be duly noted that applications lacking the processing fee or proper documentation will not be processed for consideration.

PIEAS Admission Test

Admission to PIEAS requires students to clear the PIEAS admission test first. The PIEAS entry test usually has the following test pattern:

• 30 MCQs from Mathematics 
• 30 MCQs from ​Physics 
• 20 MCQs​ from ​Chemistry 
• 20 MCQs​ from English 

Number of Total MCQs = 100
