Merit List
Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro has a clear fee structure for graduate and postgraduate students. The fee structures differ between Regular Scheme, Self-Financing Scheme or University Support Program as well as students domiciles. The Regular Scheme students admission fee is approximately PKR 35,650 annually and the semester fee is approximately PKR 38,600. The Self-Financing Scheme students pay a single fee from PKR 420,000 to PKR 1,350,000, depending on discipline. Students needing hostel accommodation also have this fee (approximately 12,700 PKR annually/26,500 PKR per semester).
Programs Fee Structure
MUET offers a broad range of graduate and postgraduate degrees across various disciplines. Regular Scheme students pay the semester fee for tuition, games, developmental charges, transport, and examination fees, which amount to approximately PKR 38,600. Self-Financing Scheme students pay a flat discipline-specific fee: PKR 1,350,000 for Software Engineering, PKR 1,260,000 for Civil and Computer Systems Engineering, and less for other disciplines. Some programmes under the Self-Financing Scheme are Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineering, among others.
Scholarship & Financial Assistance
MUET provides various scholarship programs to assist graduate and postgraduate students. PM's Full Fee Reimbursement Scheme for Master's and Ph.D. studies, HEC Need Based Scholarships, Indigenous Scholarships, and scholarships for students from less developed regions of Sindh are provided. Fully funded teaching assistantships and Ph.D. awards are also available, and Erasmus Mundus exchange programs in Europe are available. Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships to alleviate financial burdens.
