Maritime Training Institute Karachi

The Maritime Training Institute, Karachi was formed in 1998 to protect Pakistan's strategic maritime interest as well as to promote the Education & Training in compliance to the International Convention on Standards of Training and Certification of Seafarers 1978, as amended in 1995, and to satisfy the recommendations of IMO/ILO Documents of Guidance 1985. With this new setup a macro approach towards global maritime issues can be adopted which will better serve the interests of the Shipping and Maritime Industry.

The institute is responsible for developing skilled professionals to work in the fields of maritime transport, shipping, logistics and transport. MTI is committed to provide quality inline with international curriculums. It is known for its experienced faculty, providing students with the theoretical knowledge, as well as the practical expertise to ensure they are prepared for industry challenges. MTI has established itself as a center of excellence internationally over the years, and trains freshmen who will contribute substantially to the global maritime sector.

Programs Offered

MTI has various manuals that can with the needs of the changing environment of maritime and shipping industry. It offers training courses in various disciplines of the Maritime field, including Maritime Operations and Management, Maritime Logistics Management, and Maritime and Aeronautical information technology. Such courses are designed to prepare students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills that increase their employability in the local and international markets.
