Indus Institute of Higher Education, Karachi

Indus Institute of Higher Education, popularly called Indus University, was established in 2005, whereas the charter it received from the Provincial Assembly of Sindh was granted in 2012. It is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), with a five-star status given by the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC). Located in Karachi, it offers quality education in engineering, communication, business, media studies, etc. Indus University has set for itself a target of providing education at an international level that will endow the students with competencies to perform vigorously in their careers.

Academic Programs Offered

Indus University offers a wide array of courses for meeting the needs of the various industries. The Faculty of Engineering, Science & Technology introduces programs such as BE in Electrical Engineering, BSc in Engineering Technology, and MS in Mechanical Engineering. The Faculty of Computing & Information Technology is yet another unit that also offers BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering, and MS Computer Science. The multi-disciplinary courses, such as BBA and MBA and PhD in Management Science, are offered by the Faculty of Management Sciences. As for the course streams of design, the Faculty of Communication & Design offers courses in Media Sciences, Fashion Design, and Textile Design. In the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences, the programmes provided include Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Facilities & Activities

The facilities of Indus University offer modern conveniences and enhance the learning experience.
