Govt Universities

Public sector universities are funded by the government. They are controlled by the government bodies. HEC submits budgets regarding public universities to the federal government and controls distribution of these funds. As a result, they provide affordable education to citizens of Pakistan.

 

Public sector universities offer high admission merit and large number of class sizes while maintaining the quality of education.

 

There are approximately around 67 public sector universities in Pakistan. The well-known University of Punjab followed by University of Karachi are the two renowned public universities of Pakistan.
