The University has announced its ‘Fall Admissions’ for various programs .You can check the newspaper advertisement or visit Government College Women University Faisalabad’s official website http://gcwuf.edu.pk/ to get the updates.
GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA
- Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor’s degree program must have passed FA / F.Sc./ ICS / A level or equivalent from a recognized institution with at least 45% marks or 2nd division on the basis of the respective category of admission.
- Candidates seeking admission to the Master’s degree program must have passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination in second division with at least 45% marks or least 2.0 CGPA from any HEC recognized institution, in a field of study relating to the respective subject selected for the degree program.
- The candidates must have passed MA/M.Sc. or BS 4-years (minimum 130 credit hours) or equivalent degree in the relevant field from HEC recognized institution with at least 50% marks or 2.50 CGPA for admission to MS/MPhil Programs. However, student obtaining 45% marks in M.A under annual system can take admission in MPhil English Literature.
- The candidates must have passed MS/MPhil with minimum CGPA 3.00 or 1st Division in M.S/ MPhil or equivalent degree from HEC recognized institution to enter a PhD program.
- The candidate should submit the domicile of Punjab Province. The candidate with domicile other than the Punjab province has to produce a nomination letter.
- An application for enrollment on the prescribed Course Registration Form (UG-1) accompanied by fee paid bank receipt shall be presented to the office of the Director Undergraduate/postgraduate Studies.
Admissions on Reserved Seats:
Besides the open merit the candidates can apply in morning program against the reserved seats i.e.
- 2% seats for sports
- 3% seats for disables
- 2% seats for children of University employees (1% for teaching and 1% for non-teaching)
- 2% seats for FATA
- 2% for FANA
- 1% for Baluchistan
- 2% seats for co-curricular activities
- 5% seats for overseas Pakistanis
For Evening Programs, the candidates can apply against 2% seats for Children of university employees (1% for teaching and 1% for non-teaching).
No sports and co-curricular quota available for BS (Public Administration), BBA and BS (Commerce).
