Cholistan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Bahawalpur (CUVAS)

Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bahawalpur is a public university which is situated in Bahawalpur, Punjab Pakistan. This university was established in 2014 and was chartered by the government of Punjab. The university is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. It has been providing higher education with research oriented degree programs and academic excellence, since its establishment. CUVAS aims to establish a state of the art institution to cater the needs of Southern Punjab regarding research, education, disease diagnostics, trainings an to keep pace with innovations in the livestock, poultry, wildlife and allied sectors. The key objective is to uplift the rural farming community to control poverty and unemployment in rural youth and to contribute to the national economic development.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements at Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bahawalpur vary depending upon degree program the candidate is applying for. For undergraduate or BS degree program the maximum age to apply is 26 years. The candidate is required to have matriculation in Science with 45% marks and FSc. Pre medical or intermediate with 60% or 45% marks (depending upon the program).

• For Mphil or Master’s program the students are required to have a 2.5 CGPA out of 4 or 50% marks in Bachelor’s. GAT test is also required to get admission in Mphil.
• For PHD program, subject test conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS) must be cleared prior to admission. 60% in Mphil or a 3.0 CGPA is required to get enrolled in PHD program at CUVAS.
