AIOU came into existence in 1974 and is one of the biggest open universities in Pakistan delivering distance education. It is instrumental in offering quality education to the students of Quaid-i-Azam Quetta across the Quetta region. AIOU accommodates students in different commitments through flexible learning. Its aim is to provide education to all, wherever they may be, and under whatever constraints may apply to them.
