Programs Offered

The Abwa College of Physical Therapy provide different programs for the students interested in profession of a physical therapist. The major ones are a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, which is a professional doctoral program built for students who want to become licensed physical therapists. The college may also provide certification, diploma or post graduate programs in specialized areas of physiotherapy. The DPT program usually takes five years to complete and a completion of this program exposes the scholar to a wide content area of study that include anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, therapeutic procedures and patient care administration. Clinical internships are required within the programs and students train in medical centres, hospitals or other health facilities.
