ISLAMABAD: A country like Pakistan where there are several reasons to feel disappointed, where the institutions and systems are in bad shape but one thing is always there to give hope and faith is the extraordinary talent of the youth that makes its mark in the world.
One such talent, Tuba Shahaab, is the author of a fairy tale book named “My Golden Dreams”. She became author at the age of seven only and earned international and national recognition.
At a very small age she was on television, talking at events in schools and literary circles. She also appeared in the extremely famous drama “Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain”.
Her book was placed in the libraries of United Kingdom. She was also awarded Ambassador of international Poetry by the Italian government.
Tuba said that she got an appreciation letter from the Queen of England in 2011 for her book. The queen also gifted a two sided portrait of Queen. Speaking about her book she said that stress, pain and agony has motivated me to write a book about the sufferings of poor people through fairy tales. She also said that questions kept flooding her mind and she kept on writing. She wants a society which is free from injustice, poverty, terrorism, and hatred.
The book gave her recognition and her mother decided to take her to United Kingdom to change the environment. Her trip to England polished her skills and she also got opportunity to show her work at different schools and colleges in United Kingdom. They gave her certificates of appreciation and also placed her book in their libraries.
She was named as “Peace Poet” by international media, and was awarded a pen as gift from CNN.
Tuba is now 18 years and is working on her first novel ‘The Captured’, which is themed around international peace. The novel is expected to come out this December or next year May.
Tuba is soon expected to visit Rome, to meet all the highest institutional and cultural personalities.
