Norina Shah is a 17-year-old teenager who has engrossed the consideration of the United Nations chief for her raw talent and astonishing skills in the world of sloppy astronomy. She is a second year intermediate student at Quetta’s Islamia Girls College.
She has boundless interest in astronomy and has expanded her in-depth information for it, which she shared on social media especially on the microblogging website ‘Twitter’.
Norina felt extremely proud when the United Nations appreciated her work. At that time she realized that she has done something big in the world and all girls can do this if they get opportunity and platform to excel. She said that she grew passionate about outer space when she was in the 8th grade. Soon she started finding out new ways to capture pictures of planets, stars and the moon in the night sky.
Norina’s father said that Baluchistan is an extremely conservative city of Pakistan. Girls are not allowed to go out of their house, but still he is very much optimistic about her daughter. He won’t even mind if Norina go abroad and live there as abroad is more secure than Pakistan for women.
Norina also said that her family has always supported her and has never stopped her from doing anything.
Norina is Eduzine's Global Young Ambassador for South Asia and is specified on their site page as the "brightest star". She was likewise the primary runner-up in the inaugural Eduzine Global ACE Young Achiever Awards in 2014. In acknowledgment of her ability, Norina was recompensed an endorsement and a telescope separated from a feature article published in the magazine.
Eduzine likewise welcomed her to go to the US for attending a meeting on astronomical studies. She needed to turn down the offer in those days in view of her studies. She has again been welcome to a week-long gathering in the US in 2017 which she is prone to go to.
After the publication of the Eduzine article, Norina says the UN online networking group wrote of her an email, saying the office's head had welcomed her ability and interests.
