Ibrahim Murad becomes the youngest university chairman to continue focusing on youth empowerment
Lahore Ibrahim Hasan Murad, president of the University of Management and Technology (UMT), has been appointed Chairman of ILM Trust and UMT Board of Governors, ILM Trust.
The appointment elevates Murad to become the youngest university chairman. Murad's work as the head of UMT has revolved around youth empowerment and enablement, which, in turn, is observed in the continuously growing scope of ILM fund scholarships. Under his leadership, this ILM fund has conferred scholarships amounting to PKR 13 billion among 37,000 Pakistan-based students.
He again emphasized that UMT remains committed to establishing a research-driven higher education system in Pakistan. While underlining the outstanding contributions of the university toward empowering the younger generation, he said that UMT was proactively working towards national challenges and driving positive change in society by equipping youth with the strength to face the challenges of the future.
Murad said UMT was creating future leaders and entrepreneurs for a brighter future of Pakistan and was confident that UMT would be one of the best universities in the world in the near future. He said he would like to take the ILM Trust and UMT to new heights.
The leadership and members of the ILM Trust along with the UMT family welcomed Murad in this position with prestige.
