In accordance with the Government of Punjab's policy since 1999, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore conducts a Combined Entrance Test (ECAT) for admission to public sector engineering institutions in Punjab. This test is mandatory for undergraduate engineering admissions in public and private sector institutions, as per multiple notifications from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
For 2025, this is the second and final entrance test. PEC guidelines allow applicants multiple attempts, and the best score will be considered during the admission process. The score from this ECAT will be valid for Fall 2025 admissions at UET.
This test is required for admission to B.Sc. Engineering programs and other applicable disciplines at UET Lahore.
A 15-minute computer-based orientation session will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the assigned center and time printed on the admit card.
