In 1959, the Government Training College Multan was established in Bahawalpur due to the unavailability of suitable building in Multan and in 1963 it was shifted in Multan in a rented building. In 2002, the college was became constituent college of the University of Education Lahore. University of Education has campuses in many other cities of Pakistan. Currently, UE Multan offers different programs that are aimed at providing the jobs market and education sector needs. Some of its common offerings include Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelors in Education (BS in Education), Bachelors in English and Masters in Educational Leadership and Management and many more. Apart from conventional curriculum, research forms part of the core309 curriculum in the university and the university can encourage students to participate in research projects, seminars and workshops in order to equip them with research skills. Course work is an important part of the curriculum to facilitate students in the teaching, research and public service domains.
