Spain, as a country is so easy yet very difficult to describe. It is one of the oldest country and yet one of the most modernized. The history of Spain dates back from the Middle Ages, after the removal of Muslim rulers in 1516, Spain entered into golden age under the rule of Spanish Empire. Spain has been part of many wars, it has been captured and released until 1972 when a democratic government finally came into being. Spain has the world’s oldest historical sites. This country has a lot to offer in every aspect, it has rich and diverse culture, amazing food, numerous festivals, beautiful sites, best education and best employment opportunities. There are a few veritable features which define a country and Spain has many such features which will take us back into its origin in history. It’s impossible to sum up the great extent of Spanish history.
Spain is the Fourth largest country in Europe. Majority of its population is Roman Catholic, its old and rich culture is influenced by Romans, Greeks and Carthaginians. Spain holds an important position geographically because it has its border connected with France and Portugal. In modern ages Spain is known as World’s global empire and is world‘s most powerful country. Spain is proud host of world’s 3rd largest UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Spanish literature and architecture holds a special reorganization around the world. Spain is permanent member of G-20 countries.
Spain is among the top 10 countries in terms of good living standards in Economist Intelligence Unit's quality of life survey conducted in 2005 .It is 14th largest economy of the world and 5th largest in European Union. The unemployment rate in Spain is 20%.Education has been an important issue in Spain and they put a lot of emphasis in improving their education system. The education in Spain is free for its citizens. Some of the oldest universities in the world and Europe are in Spain. University of Salamanca is 5th oldest University of Europe and still actively working. The feel and culture of history of Spain can be imagined by its effort of keeping these oldest universities still functional.
Mesmerizing beaches, vibrant festivals and adventures spots are main features of modern day Spain. Any one travelling there will surely never get bored. Spanish food is hailed from its long historic diversity. Pakistan and Spain share a bilateral and diplomatic relationship. Pakistan is largest immigrant community in Spain.
