You will need to meet the costs of any tests and examinations. If you are in New Zealand, the costs are not covered by the New Zealand health service, unless you require ongoing treatment for tuberculosis (TB).
In most cases an X-ray cannot be completed without a doctor referring you to a radiologist. You need to make an appointment with a doctor for an appointment.
The New Zealand government has published a Health Requirements Leaflet to the visa candidates. You can see the full detail of health requirements for the New Zealand Visa.
