It is the story of Islamabad's evolution as a city and mine. It is a story of my three generations living in Islamabad and my childhood memories. It is about how life was in Islamabad some 50 years ago and how people, culture, places and environment have changed over the years. It is about me growing old in a city and is based on my memories, anecdotal evidence and some historical facts. The book is a tribute to all those unsung heroes who made Islamabad a reality. It is also a starting point for a discussion about what sort of Islamabad do we want to pass on to our next generation. It is about my love, attachment and association with a city. It is about my city; it is about life.
