Eligible:

All EU national students are eligible to apply.

PhD programmes offered at any desired French or EU university can be applied for.

Criteria:

The applicants must submit a research project that fits into the CEFC’s scientific mission, which consists of studying the political, economic, social, and cultural changes in the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

PhD Scholarship fieldwork research or dissertation writing in China or Hong Kong

The CEFC will award two scholarships for doctoral students, for a period of 3 months renewable once, for field research or thesis writing in China or Hong Kong (beginning of the research stay: July 2022). The scholarship comprises a monthly stipend of 1200 Euros.

Eligibility

Obligation to reside in China or Hong Kong for the duration of their attachment to the CEFC. Given the constraints linked to the epidemic situation, only the files of doctoral students already residing in China or Hong Kong will be considered.

Submit a research project that fits into the CEFC’s scientific mission, which consists of studying the political, economic, social and cultural changes in the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
