PEO International Peace Scholarship Funds (IPS) 2024 For Pakistani Women

What is the PEO Scholarship

This is an annually announced need-based scholarship, women can apply for. PEO scholarship provides financial coverage for postgraduate study programs in any USA or Canadian university. 

PEO international peace scholarship is for women who have graduated with honors degrees. Women who want to pursue their postgraduate study in USA or Canada have a great opportunity.  PEO is providing financial assistance to international women including Pakistanis since 1949.  PEO considers education as the basic fundamental of peace in the world and provides educational funds with the help of strong collaborative members.

Though the IPS award is not fully funded it is awarded on a need base. So it is a keen requirement to submit proof of an adequate amount that will cover the estimated study cost in the US or Canada. Additional expenses sources could be

• Work scholarships

• Tuition fee waivers

• Study grants and other scholarships

PEO International Peace Scholarship Eligibility

Entrance certification

• Pakistani citizens (women)

• Women who are willing to go back to their home country after getting a degree from US or Canadian-accredited university

• Admission confirmation from US or Canadian university

• Must have a year of coursework to be completed  

• International students who already studied at Cottey College can apply for IPS scholarships

Scholarship Fulfillments

• Applicants selected for scholarships have to sign a document stating that they will return back to their home country within 60 days after completion of the degree program (that depends upon their visa status)

Travel Cost For US Or Canada

• Applicant must be able to fulfill the traveling cost to US/ Canada

• IPS grants will not cover the travel expenses

Nondiscrimination Basis

• Students will be selected without age, religion and disability discrimination

• Applicants already got admission to Cottey College can apply for international peace scholarships.  

Who Are Not Eligible For International Peace Scholarships?

• Permanent residents of the US and Canada

• PhD applicants who have completed course work and only research work  remains cannot apply for IPS scholarships

• Permanent residents of the US or Canada cannot apply for IPS

• Scholarship will not be granted for online courses, internships, research, and practical if not related to course works

• Students of dentistry and medicine will be accepted with 2 final years and internships

PEO International Scholarship Funds

• Students already receiving funds from Cottey college can apply for IPS, but the funds will not exceed $25.000

• Maximum amount of granted scholarship is $12,500.

• IPS grants cover one year of expenses (from August to August)

• Amount of scholarship is granted in two installments

• 1st after confirmation of admission and completion of all paperwork

• 2nd installment is granted after the continuation of study till 30th November. 

PEO International Peace Scholarship Application 2024

• Applications for IPS are accepted online

• Interested students can submit their applications from 15th September to 15th December 2024.  

• Also apply for US/ Canada visa

Documents Required For IPS Application

• Passport

• HEC attested undergraduate degree

• Admission letter from any US or Canadian University

• Signed affidavit for return back to Pakistan after completion of degree

Document declaring financial assistance

Students applied to Cottey college are required to send a recommendation letter from College’s professor along with an admission letter
