MEXT Japanese Government Scholarship 2026.
The MEXT Scholarship Embassy Track is one of the two primary ways to apply for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. In this track, you apply for the scholarship through the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Applicants can apply for the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs to study in Japanese universities.
Document Submission: Applicants must be able to provide all the required application documents.
Master’s Applicants:
Must have completed an Undergraduate program.
Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply.
Ph.D. Applicants:
Must possess a Master’s degree to be eligible for Doctoral Degree programs.
IELTS Not Required: Submission of IELTS scores is not a mandatory requirement for the application.
Open to All Nationalities: Applicants from all countries are eligible to apply. There is no restriction based on nationality.
Nationality Requirement: Applicants must not possess Japanese nationality.
