Enrollment & Eligibility

We have intakes in April and October. The classes are taught in English. You'll earn either a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering or a Doctor of Philosophy, based on your research area. Just a heads up, each supervisor can only take on a maximum of 3 SSP students at the same time.

Financial Support

Applicants accepted into the SSP program get solid financial help, which includes:

  • Monthly Stipend: 150,000 yen for your research work.
  • Fee Waivers: You won’t have to pay the 15,000 yen entrance exam fee, the 300,000 yen enrollment fee, or the 535,800 yen annual tuition fee.
