Scholarship Benefits

This fully funded scholarship will cover the following expenses:

  • Full Tuition Waiver - There are no tuition expenses for the duration of your education.
  • The scholarship provides free on-campus housing.

  • Monthly Stipend - Additional financial assistance for daily living expenses (varies according to study level and university).
  • Round-trip international travel (in some situations) is sponsored by the WMO for eligible candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this distinguished award, students must complete the following requirements:

  • Be in good health and not a Chinese citizen.
  • Meet the academic qualifications for the relevant study level.
    • Undergraduate programs are for high school graduates under the age of 25.
    • Master's programs require a bachelor's degree and an age under 35.
    • Doctoral programs require a master's degree and an age under 40.
  • Have a solid academic record and a passion for meteorology, hydrology, or water resource management.
  • Must meet language competency standards for programs offered in English or Chinese.

  • Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) is a top institution for meteorology and atmospheric sciences.
