Blue Carbon Science & Policy
Students will follow a course programme that builds a strong theoretical framework for blue carbon science, giving them an opportunity to design field sampling strategies, carry out fieldwork, and follow their own sampling back to the laboratory for hands-on analytical work and data analyses; the course culminates in a coursework assessment.
Criteria:
The Summer Program is open to all the Nationals.
Completed at least one year (two semesters) of full-time university study, or its equivalent, by the time you arrive in St Andrews.
Open to Undergraduate and postgraduate students and professionals
Achieved a minimum average grade equivalent to 3.2 on the USA 4.0 GPA scale.
Proof of English Language Test or English Language Proficiency.
The Summer Program will run from 29th June to 12th July 2025. There is no application fee, and candidates from all around the world are eligible to apply. The Blue Carbon Summer Program will take Place at St. Andrews, which is a town in Scotland, part of the United Kingdom.
Blue Carbon Summer Programme
A new two-week international summer programme in the Science and Policy of Blue Carbon offered through the University’s Blue Carbon Academy. The programme is suitable for Undergraduate students seeking training in the theory, field and analytical methods of blue carbon research, as well as postgraduates and career professionals seeking to strengthen their overall understanding of blue carbon science and policy frameworks.
