What is the ARICE Scholarship?

The ARICE (Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade), in partnership with Romania's Ministry of Education and Research, is providing 40 fully financed scholarships to international students from non-EU and non-EFTA countries. These scholarships are offered for a variety of educational levels, including Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, and Residency programs in Romania for the academic year 2025/26.
This program covers a wide range of areas and provides numerous perks, including free tuition, monthly stipends, housing aid, and free public transportation for the duration of your study.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: This award is available to students from non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
  • Priority will be given to candidates from countries without cultural or educational cooperation agreements with Romania.

Levels of Study and Duration

The ARICE Scholarship is offered at the following levels of study:

Bachelor’s Degree (BS)

  • Eligibility: High school graduates or students participating in foreign currency tuition programs.
  • Duration: 3–6 years, culminating in a Bachelor's exam.

Master’s Degree (MS)

  • Eligibility requires a Bachelor's degree.
  • Duration: 1.5 to 2 years, culminating with a dissertation examination.

Residency/ Postgraduate Studies

  • Eligibility: General medical graduates aiming to specialize in areas such as emergency medicine or cardiology.
  • Duration: 3–6 years.

Doctoral Degree (PhD)

  • Eligibility: Bachelor's and Master's degree holders.
  • Duration: 3 to 5 years, with agreement from a scientific coordinator and an entrance exam.
