Hold an MPhil or Research Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or Physics (preferred).
Candidates with an MSc or MA degree must complete one year of courses at the graduate school (Tinbergen Institute or ERIM).
Demonstrate excellent academic performance at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.
Show interest and strong motivation for scientific research in a statement of purpose.
Submit GRE test scores for all three sections (Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical Writing). Candidates must score in the top 10% of the quantitative section; applicants with a Q score below 160 will not be considered.
Hold a Research Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics or Business, or an MPhil degree, or have completed a research-oriented Honours program with at least 30 EC.
