This scholarship is offered by the Confucius Institute, which promotes Chinese language and culture worldwide. It supports students, scholars, and Chinese language teachers in pursuing degrees in China. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and medical insurance.
Provincial Government Scholarships:
Some provinces in China offer their own scholarships to attract international students. These scholarships may cover tuition, accommodation, and provide a monthly stipend. Examples include the Jiangsu Jasmine Scholarship and the Shanghai Government Scholarship.
The USTC fellowships have two levels for undergraduate and Master’s program, Level A and Level B, each offering different benefits and financial support. And USTC Fellowship for doctoral programs has three levels A, B and C level.
A and B Level subsidy is funded by the Ministry of Education (Chinese Government Scholarship) or USTC, that includes tuition waiver, Comprehensive Medical Insurance, monthly stipend and accommodation.
C level Subsidy includes Teaching assistant or Research assistance (For Doctorate level program).
Scholarship recipients will not have to pay tuition fees, which will significantly lessen the financial burden of their academic endeavors.
The scholarship consists of both a full scholarship and a partial scholarship. The full scholarship provides tuition waiver, application fee waiver, monthly stipend, basic accommodation and medical insurance; while the partial scholarship covers some items of the Full. The full scholarship is majorly sponsoring Master’s and doctoral candidates.
PhD students would be exempted from a tuition fee of RMB 40,000/year.
Masterstudents would be exempted from a tuition fee of RMB 30,000/year.
